Key Responsibilities
- Management and delegation of tasks to direct reports.
- Initiate, coordinate, and enforce operational and human resource policies and procedures.
- Ensure all relevant paperwork is completed accurately.
- Safeguard Workshop operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
- Sustain physical condition of the Workshop by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
- Complete Workshop operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees and assessing work results.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant OH&S polices by leading by example, displaying safety awareness at all times, and ensuring conformity to housekeeping policy.
- Provide leadership and guidance to foster a positive work environment and inspire employees and subcontractors to work safely, efficiently, and effectively to meet departmental performance criteria, and contribute to team effort when necessary.
Skills And Experience
- Trade Certificate in Heavy Diesel Mechanics
- Previous experience in a similar role
- High level of computer skills and high attention to detail
- Good organisational and planning skills
- Ability to interpret parts and orders
- Current Australian drivers licence (HR)
- Forklift licence preferable
- Excellent customer service skills and communications skills
- Experience using Cummins Insite and Mack software would be advantageous
