Description:
Responsibilities:
VxBlock and VxRack/Powerflex Rack Administration:
- Administer and manage VxBlock and VxRack/Powerflex Rack environments, ensuring stability and performance.
- Provide expertise in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to VxBlock and VxRack/Powerflex Rack.
Certification and Compliance:
- Maintain VCE/CPSD certification, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Stay current with VxBlock technologies and pursue additional certifications as necessary.
VMWare Expertise:
- Serve as a VMWare expert, with a focus on VCP certification.
- Design, implement, and manage VMWare solutions integrated with VxBlock infrastructure.
UCS and Networking:
- Demonstrate strong UCS skills with a preference for UCS certification.
- Possess a good working knowledge of Cisco Networking and related certifications.
Storage and Data Management:
- Utilize a good working knowledge of EMC storage, with a preference for EMC certifications.
- Collaborate with storage teams to optimize data management within VxBlock environments.
Customer-Facing Experience:
- Engage directly with customers to understand their requirements and provide effective solutions.
- Act as a technical liaison between the organization and clients, ensuring satisfaction and addressing concerns.
IT/Datacentre Skills:
- Leverage strong IT and data center skills to contribute to the overall infrastructure strategy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align IT solutions with business objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 6 years of hands-on experience in VxBlock administration.
- VCP and UCS certifications are required; VCE/CPSD certification is preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in VMWare, EMC storage, and Cisco Networking.
- Strong customer-facing experience in an IT environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently.
