Tvapps Qa Engineer

Description:

Skilled TVApps QA Engineer with strong background in Agile testing and execution of TVApps(Android TV, Web, Apple TV) with the ability to design, develop, execute test cases to ensure the quality and reliability of applications.

Responsibilities:

Design and execute test cases for TV apps identify defects and ensure adherence to functional requirements.

Collaborate with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and design appropriate test plans and strategies.

Analyse test results, and report defects to the development team.

Perform functional, integration, regression and End to End tests to ensure overall quality of the product.

Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings, providing feedback on the quality of deliverables and suggesting improvements to the overall development process.

Ensuring comprehensive test coverage for all the features under test in the application.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of our testing processes and methodologies.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent.

4+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on TV apps.

Experience designing and executing manual test cases for TV applications..

Experience in TVApps with Android TV, Web and Apple TV.

Good hands-on in build tools such as Maven, Gradle etc.

Proficiency in continuous integration using Jenkins and containerization using Docker.

Experience in cloud Device Farm Integration (Browserstack, Sauce labs, etc).

Experience in SCM tools such as Git / Bitbucket and Git strategies.

Experience in Test management and reporting tools such as Test Rail, Jira, Confluence etc.

Strong understanding of TV application architectures, platforms, and technologies.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong troubleshooting skills using application logs, network logs, network proxies and etc, identifying the root cause of issues and provide necessary information to development team.

Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Good Experience with Agile testing methodologies and techniques.

Experience in Web and API Testing and Automation is an added advantage.
