Travel & Tourism Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

• Client Consultation:
• Consult with clients to determine their travel needs, preferences, and budget.
• Provide detailed information on travel destinations, attractions, and cultural experiences.
• Design and customize travel itineraries that cater to client interests and requirements.
• Booking and Reservations:
• Utilize Global Distribution Systems (GDS) and other booking platforms to arrange flights, accommodations, tours, and transportation.
• Confirm and manage bookings, issue travel documents, and ensure accuracy.
• Handle changes, cancellations, and rescheduling of travel plans as required.
• Customer Service:
• Offer exceptional customer service by responding to client inquiries and resolving travel-related issues promptly.
• Maintain positive client relationships and encourage repeat business through personalized service.
• Research and Planning:
• Stay updated on travel trends, new destinations, and tourism developments.
• Research and recommend new travel products and services to clients.
• Prepare and present travel options that offer the best value and experience.
• Administrative Duties:
• Prepare and process invoices, payments, and travel insurance.
• Assist with visa applications and other travel documentation.
• Maintain accurate records of client bookings and transactions.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Travel and Tourism Specialist or similar role in the travel industry.
• Proficiency in Global Distribution Systems (GDS) such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo.
• Strong knowledge of travel destinations, tourism products, and industry regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other travel-related software.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Travel and Tourism or related field.
• Experience in handling corporate, leisure, and group travel arrangements.
