Position Overview: The Operations & Manifest Compliance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all customs and operational procedures at the Jeddah office. This position requires extensive knowledge and experience in Saudi Manifest platforms, specifically Faseh, as well as all other relevant Saudi customs platforms and regulatory frameworks. The role is central to ensuring seamless compliance with Saudi customs laws and regulations for import and export activities, handling customs documentation, and managing complex logistics tasks. A minimum of 5 years of experience in Saudi customs procedures and manifest platform usage is required.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Task Management: Oversee and manage all operational tasks, ensuring efficient workflows and strict adherence to deadlines.
  • Customs Procedures Handling: Manage all customs procedures in compliance with Saudi customs laws and regulations, including import and export cargo manifests, electronic data submissions, and hard copy documentation.
  • Saudi Manifest Platform Expertise: Maintain up-to-date expertise on Saudi manifest platforms (Faseh) and ensure full compliance with all relevant regulations, facilitating timely and accurate data submission.
  • Customs Issue Resolution: Follow up and resolve customs issues that require amendments to Bills of Lading (BLs) for both import and export shipments in accordance with Saudi regulations.
  • Problem Solving: Address and resolve abnormal issues related to import and export shipments, proactively implementing solutions to enhance client satisfaction.
  • Damaged Container Oversight: Manage and coordinate activities related to damaged containers, ensuring compliance with Saudi inspection protocols.
  • Truckers Coordination: Coordinate with trucking providers, ensuring timely and efficient cargo transportation within Saudi Arabia.
  • Port and Depot Management: Oversee all operational matters at Saudi ports and depots, ensuring regulatory compliance and smooth operations aligned with Saudi port authorities' requirements.
  • Legal Compliance: Ensure adherence to all Saudi legal requirements in client and customs-related matters, maintaining compliance with Saudi customs clearance procedures.
  • Agent Liaison: Communicate and coordinate with agents regarding import and export shipments, ensuring processes comply with all Saudi customs regulations.
  • Team Leadership: Guide and support team members to comply with Saudi customs regulations and internal operational procedures.
  • Dangerous Cargo Management: Oversee the handling of dangerous cargo, ensuring all necessary approvals from Saudi terminals and compliance with local regulatory standards.
  • License and Documentation Management: Ensure all necessary licenses and permissions for customs clearance in Saudi Arabia are current, managing renewals and updating documentation for compliance.

 

Essential Criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with Saudi customs regulations and manifest platforms (including Faseh).
  • Qualified candidates residing in Jeddah
  • In-depth knowledge of Saudi customs laws and regulations related to import/export documentation and compliance.
  • Demonstrated experience in handling operational tasks in a high-volume, regulated environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to address issues proactively.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to guide and coordinate teams and liaise with agents and trucking providers.
  • Ability to manage sensitive cargo, including dangerous goods, in compliance with local regulatory standards.
