Tableau Developer

Description:

Dashboard Development: Design, build, and maintain highly interactive, user-friendly, and dynamic dashboards using Tableau.

Data Modeling: Work with large data sets, perform data preparation and transformation using Tableau Prep and other tools.

Data Analysis: Analyze and interpret complex data sets, identifying trends, anomalies, and insights to support business deciSIons.

Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts, stakeholders, and IT teams to understand requirements, translate them into functional Tableau solutions, and present findings.

Performance Tuning: Optimize Tableau reports and dashboards for performance, ensuring fast load times and efficient use of resources.

Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to Tableau workbooks, data integrity, and discrepancies between expected results and actual outcomes.

Training & Documentation: Provide training and support to end-users, and create documentation related to Tableau processes, best practices, and governance.

Data Integration: Integrate data from various sources, including relational databases, cloud platforms, and APIs, into Tableau.

Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest Tableau features, industry trends, and best practices to drive improvements in reporting and visualization processes.

Qualifications:

Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.

Experience:2-4+ years of experience working as a Tableau Developer or in a similar role.

Proficient in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, and Tableau Prep.

Experience with data warehousing, SQL, and data transformation techniques.

Experience integrating Tableau with other platforms or data sources (e.g., SQL Server, Snowflake, Google BigQuery).

Technical Skills:

Advanced knowledge of Tableau development, visualization, and performance optimization.

Strong SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation.

Familiarity with ETL processes and data integration tools.

Experience with data blending, calculated fields, and advanced analytics features in Tableau.

Preferred Skills:

Tableau certification (e.g., Tableau Desktop Specialist, Tableau Certified Data Analyst).

Familiarity with other BI tools like Power BI or Qlik.

Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis.

Experience in cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
