Sr. Design Safety Engineer

Description:

· This is a full-time engineering role for a Sr. Design Safety Engineer, located in Khobar. The Design Safety Engineer will be responsible for leading technical projects, providing technical expertise in their domain. They will be working on projects from various domains, including engineering, construction, and operations, and will be responsible for ensuring that regulations and safety standards are met while delivering quality work.

· Design Safety engineer in Oil & Gas and Petrochemical Plant, including Design HSE Plan, HAZID, ENVID, HRA, HAZOP, SIL Classification/Verification, QRA, BRA, Dispersion Study, HEMP, Fugitive Emission Estimation, RAM Study, Noise Study, and Fire & Gas Detection system

· Collaborate with Third Parties/Client to integrate the Safety system for the safety study reports in plant design

· Ensure compliance with international codes and regulations.

· Ensure compliance with Aramco/SABIC Standard requirement.

· Prepare Design HSE plan, related Philosophy and Specifications, Third Party Consultant Selection for required HSE studies.

· Coordinate with other discipline teams to ensure proper implementation of the design Safety system including F&G system.

· Stay up-to-date with advancements in design HSE system best practices.

Qualifications

· 15+ years of experience in the field of Design Safety including Fire & Gas system engineering.

· Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering-related field

· GES+ working Experience is preferred but not mandatory.

· Strong familiarity with Aramco Standards, SABIC standards

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills

· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work under pressure

· Knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards in their respective domain

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

· Fluency in English, both written and verbal
