Description:
Minimum Requirements/Experience (What is required to perform the essential duties):
- Relevant Experience: At least 5 years of experience in database administration, specifically with Oracle databases, and a minimum of 3 years managing Linux servers in a production environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Solid understanding of Oracle database features, tools, and best practices, as well as experience with Linux operating systems, including server deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Performance Tuning: Proven track record in monitoring and tuning databases to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
- Backup and Recovery: Experience in designing and implementing robust backup and recovery solutions for Oracle databases.
- Security Management: Knowledge of implementing and maintaining strict security protocols and data integrity measures for database environments.
- Scripting Skills: Proficiency in scripting languages for automation of tasks (e.g., Shell, Perl, Python).
- Collaboration and Communication: Strong ability to work collaboratively with IT teams and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex issues and drive resolutions.
