Senior Landscape Surveyor

 

Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coordinate, and manage landscape survey projects from inception through to completion.
  • Conduct detailed site surveys, collecting and analyzing topographical, geological, and environmental data.
  • Provide expert guidance and technical advice regarding site conditions, measurements, and geographic features.
  • Interpret and analyze survey data for the design and implementation of landscape architecture and urban planning projects.
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality survey reports, ensuring they meet project requirements and local regulatory standards.
  • Oversee the development and review of survey methodologies, techniques, and equipment to enhance project accuracy and efficiency.
  • Manage the preparation and submission of survey documentation, including maps, diagrams, and related reports.
  • Work collaboratively with project managers, landscape architects, urban planners, engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver integrated landscape designs.
  • Provide mentoring and support to junior surveyors and team members.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and quality standards for surveying work in Saudi Arabia.

 

Key Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geography, Civil Engineering, or a related field from a Western-accredited university.
  • Experience: Minimum of 12 years of experience in landscape surveying with a proven track record of delivering successful projects.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of landscape survey techniques, GIS systems, CAD software, and other industry-specific tools and technologies.
  • Project Management: Experience managing landscape survey projects, including scope definition, budget control, and team coordination.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
  • Cultural Awareness: Understanding of local regulations and cultural considerations in Saudi Arabia.
  • Certifications: Membership in a professional surveying organization (e.g., RICS, ISURV) is desirable.
  • Work Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in Saudi Arabia, with a valid residency permit (Iqama).

 

Desirable Skills:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, ArcGIS, or other surveying and design software.
  • Familiarity with local building codes, environmental standards, and landscape architecture principles in the region.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
