Key Responsibilities:
Design Responsibilities:
- Design and calculate electrical systems, including lighting, power, data, telephone, fire alarm systems, public address systems, grounding, lightning protection, and earthing systems.
- Develop detailed electrical system layouts and panel board schedules (LV and MV).
- Select electrical components such as conduits, cable trays, electrical boxes, wiring devices, and active/passive data components (e.g., switches, fire cables).
- Prepare AutoCAD shop drawings and documentation for all electrical systems.
- Ensure compliance with international electrical codes and standards in all designs.
Execution Responsibilities:
- Review project plans and drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
- Coordinate with consultants and clients to finalize designs and approve materials.
- Prepare and submit materials submittals and Request for Information (RFI) for inspections and technical clarifications.
- Supervise all electrical works at the site, ensuring compliance with approved designs and specifications.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and site teams to ensure smooth execution of electrical installations.
- Monitor and manage the quality of electrical installations in accordance with the project’s quality assurance plan.
- Resolve technical challenges on-site and ensure timely completion of electrical works.
- Oversee the testing and commissioning of electrical systems, including power, lighting, LV, and MV systems.
- Prepare as-built drawings and handle the final handover of completed works to clients, ensuring all required rectifications are completed.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, specifically in construction and building services.
- Expertise in power, lighting, MV, LV, earthing, electrical panels, control systems, and low current systems implementation.
- In-depth knowledge of international electrical codes and regulations.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, electrical design software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong project management, coordination, and team leadership skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting electrical systems.
