Description:
The Senior Design Engineer will provide technical support for power quality, ATS, and EV charging systems, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and collaborating with R&D headquarters. This role involves analyzing requirements, defining optimal technical solutions, and supporting system integration and troubleshooting, as well as managing product customization and localization.
Duties & Responsibilities / What You Will Do
Support:
- Provide technical support for power quality, ATS, and EV charging-related products and systems to local customers and collaborate with the R&D headquarters to address technical inquiries and issues.
Requirements:
- Investigate and understand power quality, ATS, and EV charging application and technical requirements from customers across various segments.
- Define the best technical solutions and align them with customer needs, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other departments to drive R&D project delivery, including requirement analysis, system integration, troubleshooting, installation, and debugging of SVG, APF, DVR, ATS, and EV charging stations.
Support:
- Provide technical support for on-site product or system issues, offering quick and effective resolutions to minimize downtime.
Customization:
- Propose and instruct product changes or customizations to R&D teams when necessary to meet specific customer requirements.
Management:
- Collaborate with internal teams and third-party partners to ensure project implementation, supervise project progress, and ensure timely delivery to customers.
- Take responsibility for new product localization when needed, ensuring products meet regional requirements.
Compliance:
- Investigate power quality, ATS, and EV charging-related standards, especially local standards, and participate in relevant working groups when possible.
- Conduct research into new technologies and innovative concepts and introduce them into the development of next-generation platforms.
Required Qualifications / This Job Might Be For You If You Have The Below
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in power quality, ATS, and EV charging-related products and systems.
- Major in power electronics and related fields, with at least 5 years of experience in product
development related to power quality management.
- Proficient in spoken and written English.
- Good communication and coordination skills, and a proactive sense of responsibility.
- Familiar with relevant standards and testing methods of SVG/APF/DVR/ATS/electric vehicle
charging station, with the ability to assist in product rectification.
- Understand the key parameters of IGBT/SiC/MCU/OPA and other devices.
- Proficient in the topology and control methods of power electronic circuits, with professional
knowledge in circuit design such as signal conditioning, EMC design, switching power supply,
and power drive.
- Familiar with CAN/RS485 bus communication and debugging methods.
- Experience in cascaded frequency converter and variable frequency power supplier
development is preferred.
- Experience in SVG/APF/DVR/ATS/electric vehicle charging stations development is preferred.
- Experience in low-voltage products development is preferred.
