Description:
Reporting to the MD, The Sales Manager will be responsible for leading the sales efforts of electric vehicle (EV) chargers within the company. The primary focus will be on driving sales growth, developing and implementing sales strategies, and managing a team of sales professionals. You will work closely with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to identify opportunities, build relationships, and close deals. The role requires understanding of the EV charging industry, excellent leadership skills, a proven track record of achieving sales targets, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve overall business objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and execute the sales strategy for EV chargers, aligning with the company's overall goals and objectives. Lead and manage a sales team, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to maximize their potential and achieve sales targets.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders in the EV charging industry.
- Stay up-to-date with government policy, industry trends, market developments, and competitive landscape to identify new business opportunities and adapt sales strategies accordingly.
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs, preferences, and pricing trends, and provide feedback to the product development team.
- Develop and maintain sales forecasts, budgets, and performance metrics, and regularly report on progress to senior management.
- Participate in industry conferences, trade shows, and events to promote the company's EV charger products and establish industry thought leadership.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams, such as engineering, operations, and customer support, to ensure customer satisfaction and successful project implementations.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience is required in EV Charging related industry.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience is required in Energy related field for Sales and Business development.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and achieving sales targets, preferably in the EV charging industry or a related field.
- Strong understanding of the EV charging industry, including knowledge of various charging technologies, market dynamics, and regulatory landscape.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team to achieve outstanding results.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients, attend conferences, and visit project sites.
- Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools to manage and track sales activities.
