Description:
Testing and Monitoring:
- Actively participate in testing activities and monitor coverage for live events to ensure seamless migration operations.
Runbook Development and Maintenance:
- Develop, maintain, and update comprehensive runbooks tailored for various data center migration scenarios.
- Ensure runbooks are accurate, up-to-date, and align with the latest industry best practices and organizational standards.
Review and Audit:
- Conduct regular reviews and audits of runbooks to identify and rectify any gaps or inconsistencies, ensuring the reliability and effectiveness of migration processes.
Training and Guidance:
- Provide training sessions and ongoing guidance to migration teams on the effective utilization of runbooks, empowering them to execute migrations efficiently.
Migration Support:
- Assist migration teams in planning, executing, and troubleshooting data center migrations, offering technical expertise and guidance on specific tasks and challenges.
Log Analysis and Issue Resolution:
- Analyze migration logs to identify potential issues or areas for improvement, recommending and implementing corrective actions to ensure successful migration outcomes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including network operations, security, and storage teams, to ensure seamless integration during migration processes, fostering a cohesive and synchronized approach.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 6 years extensive experience in data center migration projects, with a focus on developing and maintaining runbooks.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and task simplification.
- Certifications such as ITIL, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or equivalent are desirable.
- Prior experience in cloud migration projects and familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
