Role Description
· Assign work duties to team; monitor their progress on a regular basis and agree actions to address any potential delays or issues.
· Participate in ongoing program deliverables like Training & Knowledge Transfer, Lessons learnt, etc.
· Communicate with the managers of the Amana functional departments on a regular basis to ensure they are updated on the program progress
· Lead the development and implementation of new processes and standards, adhering to relevant industry best practices and regulations Analyze data and performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of existing processes and identify areas for improvement.
· Develop and implement training programs for staff on new procedures and technologies.
· Review International best practices, AASHTO standards and EXPRO codes to develop Manual for the Client.
· Develop process and procedure of operational and maintenance for roads.
· Ensure road infrastructure and maintenance activities comply with relevant regulations, permits, and safety standards.
· Stay updated on industry best practices, technological advancements, and emerging trends in road operation and maintenance. Identify opportunities for process improvement, innovation, and efficiency enhancement to optimize road performance and reduce maintenance costs.
· Knowledge of Geographic Information System (GIS) software integrates geographical data with maintenance management, enabling better asset tracking, inspection planning, and resource allocation. It facilitates the visualization of road network data, identification of maintenance needs, and optimization of maintenance routes. Examples of GIS software used in road maintenance include ESRI ArcGIS, QGIS, and MapInfo.
· Knowledge of Pavement Management and Maintenance System (PMMS)
· Knowledge of Tender Evaluation is essential to assist the client in evaluating the submitted tenders based on predetermined criteria, which may include factors such as technical competence, experience, financial viability, proposed methodology, and price.
· Knowledge of Asset Management System for roads to help the client for road networks to make informed decisions on asset maintenance, rehabilitation, and investment strategies.
Qualifications
a) Bachelor’s degree with 15 years of professional experience where at least 10 of these have been in Roads Operation and Maintenance activities.
b) Min 5 years in an Expert role.
c) Experience of working in a multi-disciplined team on a large-scale consultancy project
d) Demonstrated leadership skills and experience managing skilled and technical employees
e) Experience using software such as AMS, AR, PMMS and GIS systems is desirable
f) Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g. AASHTO)
g) Demonstrated ability to coach/mentor/develop employees.
