Qualifications And Skills
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Certification as a Welding Inspector (CSWIP, AWS, or equivalent).
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience as a QA QC Welding Inspector in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of welding processes, techniques, and equipment.
- Familiarity with international welding codes and standards (ASME, AWS, API).
- Experience in conducting visual inspections and non-destructive testing (NDT) on welds.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with a diverse project team.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and address non-conformities.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Perform visual inspections on weld joints and verify compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) on welds, including ultrasonic testing, radiographic testing, and magnetic particle testing.
- Review welding procedures and qualifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Participate in welding procedure qualification tests and welder qualification tests.
- Monitor welding activities and provide guidance to welders to improve quality and productivity.
- Prepare inspection reports, maintain records, and communicate inspection findings to the project team.
- Identify and address non-conformities and coordinate with project team to implement corrective actions.
- Assist in conducting internal audits and participate in external audits.
- Stay updated with industry standards, codes, and regulations related to welding inspection.
- Promote a culture of quality and safety on the project site.
