Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Project Manager with a strong background in Investment Banking Back
Office operations to lead and drive IT projects within our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for
ensuring project timelines are managed effectively, spotting red flags before they escalate, and maintaining seamless
coordination between stakeholders.
Must know Trade Settlement & Clearing, Risk Management & Compliance, Data Management & Reconciliation,
Corporate Actions & Asset Servicing, Treasury & Cash Management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee IT projects related to Investment Banking Back Office operations, ensuring successful
delivery within scope, time, and budget.
• Work independently to identify potential risks, issues, and dependencies before they impact project
execution.
• Ensure all project deliverables align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Act as a bridge between business users, technology teams, and third-party vendors to ensure clear
communication and alignment.
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones, tracking progress against key performance
indicators (KPIs).
• Oversee system enhancements, upgrades, and implementations related to trade settlements, reconciliations,
risk management, and regulatory reporting.
• Ensure compliance with Basel III, MiFID II, Dodd-Frank, IFRS, and other relevant financial regulations.
• Collaborate with IT teams to implement automation, process optimizations, and technology upgrades for
Back Office operations.
• Facilitate UAT (User Acceptance Testing), gather feedback, and ensure smooth project handovers.
Key Qualifications & Skills:
• MUST HAVE strong knowledge of Investment Banking Back Office processes such as trade settlement,
clearing, reconciliation, compliance, and reporting.
• Proven experience in managing IT projects within the investment banking domain.
• Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance frameworks (e.g., AML, KYC, Basel III,
MiFID II, Dodd-Frank).
• Ability to spot issues, red flags, and risks before they impact project execution.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, etc.)
