Description:
In this role, you will provide non-routine cost engineering/planning and scheduling needs to projects. You will establish stakeholder relationships, conduct schedule analysis and integrate activities, identify restraints, quantify risks, monitor cost and performance, recommend alternatives, and deliver training sessions and workshops. Your activities will synthesize project components into seamless execution.
Major Responsibilities
- Establishes and maintains cost control procedures, develops and implements new products, processes, standards, or operational plans
- Responsible for setting up planning, cost, and/or estimating tools on a new project
- Provides commercial input and technical review of tenders and proposals
- Ensures that budget forecasts, progress monitoring, schedules, cost reporting and corrective action, information systems procedures meet specific projects requirements
- Anticipates, identifies, and provides mitigation strategies for problems before they adversely affect a project, and follows up to resolve conflicts, problems, and unresolved issues
- Reviews, analyzes, updates, and provides input to project Master Schedule and other control schedules
- Develops, reviews and/or checks estimates as required for services and construction costs
- Provides structured leadership and guidance for the overall execution of PERM activities
- Provides oversight, training, mentoring, and ensures capability of Project Risk Coordinator(s) and Project Risk Specialist(s) in conducting PERM activities towards the attainment of project objectives
- Provides leadership in terms of integrating the risk management process with other key project procedures (e.g. Change Management, Forecasting, Cost, Trends, and Claims and support corporate, GBU, commercial group, and functional stakeholders in managing enterprise level PERM activities as required
