Description:
As the Community & Marketing Leader you will play a pivotal role in launching, growing and shaping this global community. This position demands a candidate who can think strategically on a grand scale but is also willing to dive into the details to ensure the successful launch and growth of the community through effective marketing, engagement and retention strategies. As part of this role, you’ll also be the champion for the community guidelines and ways of communicating, ensuring the trust and safety of the community are guarded.
- Develop and implement comprehensive go-to-market strategies to introduce and expand the online social club to a savvy, global audience.
- Plan, execute and assess immersive online experiences and events that foster member connections and enhance the community’s vibrancy.
- Act as a brand ambassador, spearheading the recruitment of new community members and celebrating significant member contributions to the community.
- Host virtual events, translating community strategies into actionable initiatives and managing experiences from start to finish.
- Identify key metrics to measure community health implementing tracking and visualization tools to report on results.
- Continuously evaluate programs to identify opportunities for improvement, expansion, and optimization to maximize member engagement and satisfaction.
- Create and own the community guidelines and trust & safety guardrails to ensure the community stays healthy.
- Generate captivating brand stories and content for multiple channels, differentiating the product within the market.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners, ensuring targets are met.
- Foster a strong external network, building partnerships with industry leaders and influencers to enhance the club’s reputation and reach.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in the online social and community space, applying learnings to adapt and evolve the club’s strategy.
This is initially a six-month fixed-term employment contract role, with the potential for extension based on performance and the project's trajectory.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in marketing, go-to-market strategies, and community development, preferably within a high-growth online communities, metaverse products, or other online membership organizations.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- A deep understanding of online social engagement platforms/communities, metaverse and/or web3 communities, plus digital marketing and community-building experience.
- Proven track record of successful project management.
- A fast learner with a good sense of judgment and original thinking.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and adjust quickly to change.
- Solid experience in brand storytelling, content, and digital marketing strategies.
- Proficient in analyzing viral and retention loops with a metrics-driven approach to iterations.
