About the job

Responsibilities:

  • Define the PMO strategy and lead the design and implementation of a common project management methodology, standards, and tools to drive and facilitate the successful delivery of projects.
  • Lead the execution of a PMO governance, reporting and review framework to provide a holistic view of all organizational project activity.
  • Design, lead and mentor the portfolio and fund management.
  • Manage interdependencies and coordination across projects to ensure that information relating to project deliverables, risks and issues are effectively communicated between stakeholders and that key performance indicators are monitored and evaluated.
  • Identify and define the major strategic issues for the organization and integrate diverse stakeholder interests with the Government’s broader agenda to inform the development and prioritization of project initiatives and to proactively understand and mitigate risks.
  • Define business strategies and organizational policies to enable the strategic coordination of multiple major projects and initiatives to improve efficiency and effectiveness of projects.
  • Foster collaborative and mutually supportive relationships with project leaders and senior stakeholders, assess cross-functional project team capability, provide coaching, training, and support to enhance the project’s management capability, and improve collaborative development and project results.
  • Report and escalate to management as needed.
  • Ensure alignment of stakeholder to company strategies and objectives.
  • Facilitate governance process.
  • Overall risk management to identify themes.
  • Facilitate dependency management across the projects and programs.
  • Facilitate change control process.
  • Track deliverables and benefit realization.
  • Mentor project managers.
  • Use and continually develop leadership skills.
  • Responsible for tools, standards and methodology “i.e., project management templates”.
  • Optimizing supply chain.

 

Other Requirements:

  • Bachelor / master’s degree in architecture engineering.
  • A Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is advantageous.
  • Good command of English.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels, a team player with a flexible approach and a willingness to learn.
  • Excellent skills in Word, Excel, Power point and Outlook are required, ERP knowledge.
  • High standard of numeracy, accuracy with attention to detail.
  • A self-starter who is pro-active and can set and achieve goals.
  • Strong organizational & time management skills.
  • Ability to recognize potential risks to the Firm that should be escalated.
  • Planning, Organizing, and Achievement.
  • Problem-solving & Decision-making.
  • Must have strong work ethics.
  • Must be well organized and a self-starter.
  • Must be able to follow standard filing procedure.
  • Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and Power Point.
  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner.
  • Ability to speak and write English + Arabic is a must.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
  • Fluent in English language and Arabic.
