Description:
Key Accountabilities:
- Develop and lead the creation of EHS procedures and work processes to address identified issues from incident investigations, gap analyses, MSHEM assessments, etc., ensuring effective resolution across Ma’aden sites.
- Manage, guide, and lead technical studies such as Risk Assessments (RA), Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOP), Management of Change (MOC), incident investigations, and safety procedures and projects.
- Design and implement comprehensive safety systems aligned with organizational safety policies, standards, and industry best practices.
- Establish and maintain the operating rhythm and EHS framework for all Ma’aden sites, including MSHEM committee, EHS council, and quarterly performance reviews.
- Analyze and develop strategic initiatives and programs to enhance the EHS culture within Ma’aden corporate and its business units.
- Lead sites in achieving EHS targets and objectives, and support the development, maintenance, and achievement of corporate and business goals.
- Collaborate with EHS and business unit leadership teams and MSHEM element administrators to conduct annual evaluations of compliance with local EHS regulations (e.g., HCIS, NCEC) and MSHEM requirements.
Minimum Qualifications, Experience, and Competencies:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Safety Engineering, or a related field; a master’s certificate is preferable.
- Professional certification (e.g., NEBOSH International Diploma, Certified Safety Professional, Certified Industrial Hygienist, Certified Hazardous Materials Professional) is preferable.
Minimum Experience:
- 20-25 years of related safety or operational experience, preferably in the petrochemical, oil, and gas industries.

- Proven experience in Safety Management Systems, preferably in a similar role.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on accident investigation and prevention.
- Effective communication skills to interact with stakeholders and positively influence safety culture.
- Certification in Occupational Health and Safety is advantageous.
