Key Responsibilities:
1. Monitor MPLS network performance using NMS and proactively address potential issues.
2. Troubleshoot and resolve escalated MPLS network problems, ensuring minimal downtime.
3. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring incidents and performance degradation.
4. Conduct software upgrades, patches, and configuration changes on Nokia MPLS routers and switches (e.g., 7750 SR, 7250 IXR).
5. Configure and provision MPLS services such as L2/L3 VPNs, VPLS, and traffic engineering.
6. Ensure seamless operation and maintenance of MPLS protocols (LDP, RSVP-TE, BGP).
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams for service delivery and advanced troubleshooting.
8. Perform preventive maintenance and optimize network performance metrics like latency, jitter, and packet loss.
9. Document incidents, troubleshooting steps, and solutions for operational transparency.
10. Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory network security standards.

Preferred Skills and Tools:

1. Expertise with Nokia MPLS products and protocols.
2. Proficiency in troubleshooting tools like Wireshark, CLI, and NMS.
3. Familiarity with automation tools like Ansible or Python scripting is a plus.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on high availability and redundancy mechanisms.
