Nms Engineer

Description:

We are hiring for the role of NMS Engineer to support and enhance network management operations for a confidential client. If you have experience with Nokia NMFP/NFMT, Fortimanager, and Huawei NetCo systems, this is your chance to shine in a dynamic and rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities:

1. Monitor and manage network alarms and performance metrics using Nokia NMFP/NFMT, Fortimanager, and Huawei NetCo systems.
2. Troubleshoot and resolve complex faults escalated from Level-1 teams, adhering to SLA requirements.
3. Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues and recommend actionable solutions.
4. Configure and maintain network topology, inventory, and fault management settings in NMS platforms.
5. Perform system health checks, audits, and preventive maintenance for operational reliability.
6. Provision and activate new network elements, circuits, and services with validation.
7. Escalate unresolved issues to Level-3 engineers or vendor support (Nokia, Fortinet, Huawei TAC).
8. Optimize network KPIs and resources to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
9. Develop custom dashboards, reports, and alerts for proactive monitoring.
10. Execute software upgrades, patches, and hotfixes for NMS platforms in collaboration with vendor support.
11. Document incidents, troubleshooting steps, and RCA findings for operational reference.
12. Train Level-1 engineers in fault patterns, system functionalities, and best practices.
13. Ensure platform security through role-based privileges and compliance with policies.
14. Participate in network integration projects, onboarding new elements into NMS systems.

Preferred Skills and Tools:

1. Proficiency in Nokia NMFP/NFMT, Fortimanager, and Huawei NetCo.
2. Experience with network troubleshooting tools and processes.
3. Strong analytical skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
4. Knowledge of security protocols and compliance standards.
