Description:
Job Responsibilities
- Network Technicians analyze, test, troubleshoot, and evaluate existing network systems, such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), cloud networks, servers, and other data communications networks. Perform network maintenance to ensure networks operate correctly with minimal interruption.
- Troubleshoot computer software and hardware issues and make repairs and perform scheduled updates
- Partner with the IT team to ensure that security software is properly installed on employee computers
- Provide technical support to clients through various channels of communication
- Inspect cable lines to ensure that they are intact and working optimally
- Field questions from employees about software installation and hardware upgrades
- Manage and support LAN and WAN Network devices
- Implement approved Network changes in accordance with applicable procedures
- Analyze and diagnose network problems for a variety of users
- Recommend corrective solutions to be applied to network hardware or software
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks
- Assist other groups in troubleshooting problems that require packet analysis or performance review
- Create, publish and maintain up to date and accurate Network documentation
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Computer Engineering or related field
