Description:


The primary responsibilities of the Diabetes- Medical Affairs medical directors to provide expert medical support to all aspects of the local businesses. This includes local marketed product support, medical support for regulatory affairs, and support the interactions with government agencies (leading and presenting at conferences, advisory boards, etc., and overseeing the development of the scientific content of educational programs). The medical director is responsible for collaborating with the global teams in the planning, startup and conduct of phase 3b/4 studies, as well as non-clinical trial solutions/activities that are conducted in affiliates/countries as described in the clinical plan. In addition, the diabetes medical director, if assigned by the country Director Medical and/or Regional Medical Leader, is responsible for support of global Development studies conducted in affiliates/countries. This includes;
 

  • Business/ customer support (pre and post launch support)
  • Scientific Data Dissemination/Exchange
  • Clinical Planning
  • Clinical Research/Trial Execution and Support
  • Regulatory Support Activities
  • Scientific /Technical Expertise and continued development
  • Launch support

     

Professional Development
 

  • Keep up to date on trainings for professional development
  • Ensure performance (myPM) objectives are completed in line with company process
  • Understanding and adherence of all company policies and procedures

Minimum Qualification Requirements
 

  • Medical Doctor: Must be board eligible or a certified diabetologist or have completed the comparable level of post-medical school clinical training relevant to the country of hiring.
  • Must have completed education and training at a medical school that meets the requirements of the Saudi commission for health specialties.
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience
