Materials Engineer

Description:

💼 What You will Do:

• Lead the development and formulation of different polymeric materials including polyurethane (PU) foams and adhesives for medical applications.

• Optimize the physical, mechanical and biological properties of the developed materials through experimental trials.

• Characterize the developed materials according to standard test methods to ensure industry compliance.

• Collaborate with a cross-functional team to align material properties with product needs.

• Support scale-up processes for production and stay up to date on the latest trends in polymer science, biomaterials and wound care.

🎓 What We Are Looking For:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related fields (PhD is a plus).

• At least 3 years of experience in polymer development, preferably polyurethane foams.

• Expertise in materials characterization techniques (e.g., FTIR, DSC, TGA, electron microscopy, mechanical testing).

• Experience in process scaleup for production is a strong advantage.

• Analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and effective communication abilities.

• Autonomy, ownership, and leadership skills.
