Key Responsibilities
 

  • Plan and Scheduled Daily Loads while scheduling and finalise booking time slots for deliveries and collections
  • Ensure trips planned efficiently and completed be required cut off time
  • Build strong relationships with customers, manage enquiries via phone and email, and resolve issues in line with company procedures.
  • Manage bookings, consignment notes, manifests, and freight coordination with transport providers, internal teams, and the yard to ensure timely delivery.
  • Address freight discrepancies, ensure compliance with safety and quality procedures, and consistently meet customer KPIs.
  • Prepare quotations and ensure accurate and timely invoicing according to company protocols.
  • Assist the Contract Manager with contract requirements, identify improvement opportunities, and perform ad hoc duties as needed.
     

Skills And Experience
 

  • Previous experience in a similar position (transport and logistics experience is desirable)
  • Previous experience in transport and logistics roles, with knowledge of TMS systems and metro area operations being desirable.
  • Proficiency in data entry, tracking systems, scheduling, and maintaining accurate records, along with basic knowledge of warehousing and ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or Pronto.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal), critical thinking, creative problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with the ability to work independently and demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow.
  • Capability to address service issues effectively while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
