Responsibilities:

• Design and implement the department’s strategy and roadmap.
• Develop business plans, aligning with our client's strategic goals.
• Collaborate with department heads to identify projects.
• Manage the department's budget, reporting progress and challenges.
• Formulate strategies for positive financial impact and risk mitigation.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, ensuring compliance.
• Conduct legal research to stay informed of industry changes.
• Support M&A transactions, including due diligence and negotiation.
• Collaborate with Corporate & Governance team post-M&A for record updates.
• Collaborate with our client Growth team post-M&A for integration/divestment strategy.
• Develop and implement department policies, procedures, and controls.
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Lead continuous improvement in systems and processes.
• Guide, mentor, and develop the team.
• Implement Talent Management practices.
• Provide clear communication and feedback to employees and management.
• Promote a high-performance working environment embracing our client’s values.

Requirements:

• 10-15 years of Legal/Commercial Transactions experience.
• Experience building collaborative relationships, with 4+ years in a senior managerial position.
• Bachelor’s degree in law required.
• Master’s degree in law or equivalent preferred.
