Position Summary:

The Business Development Manager (BDM) for Retail Property is responsible for driving growth through the acquisition of new retail property clients and the expansion of existing relationships. This role requires a dynamic individual with a deep understanding of the retail property market, strong networking skills, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets.

 

  • Key Responsibilities : Business Development:
  • Identify and target potential retail property clients through market research and networking.
  • Develop and implement strategies to attract new clients and expand the company's market presence.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients to ensure ongoing business growth.
  • Client Relationship Management:
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key decision-makers in the retail property sector.
  • Conduct regular client meetings to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention through excellent service delivery.
  • Market Analysis:
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to the senior management team based on market analysis.
  • Identify opportunities for new services or enhancements to existing offerings.
  • Sales and Negotiation:
  • Prepare and present compelling proposals and presentations to potential clients.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms of business with clients to achieve win-win outcomes.
  • Achieve or exceed sales targets and performance metrics.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork:
  • Work closely with the marketing, legal, and finance teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Collaborate with the property management and leasing teams to develop and implement client solutions.
  • Share market insights and best practices with colleagues to drive overall team success.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all business development activities and client interactions.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market conditions, and client feedback.
  • Utilize CRM systems to manage client relationships and sales pipelines effectively.
  • Qualifications and Skills : Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a similar role in the retail property sector.
  • Strong understanding of the retail property market and industry trends.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing client portfolios.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Preferred Qualifications : Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or related field.
  • Experience with large-scale retail property developments.
  • Established network of contacts within the retail property industry.
  • Knowledge of property management and leasing processes.
