Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct needs assessments to identify skill gaps and training requirements across various departments within the food manufacturing facility.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive training programs aligned with the company's goals, industry standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., food safety, quality control, HACCP).
  • Utilize various training methods, including classroom instruction, online learning modules, on-the-job training, and mentoring programs.
  • Select and source appropriate training materials and resources specific to the food manufacturing industry.
  • Deliver engaging and effective training sessions for employees at all levels.
  • Facilitate workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions to promote continuous learning and skill development.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback mechanisms, and performance data.
  • Work collaboratively with subject matter experts (SMEs) within the company to ensure training content is accurate and up-to-date with industry best practices.
  • Stay current on emerging trends and technologies in learning and development within the food manufacturing sector.
  • Maintain training records and reports to track employee progress and program effectiveness.
  • May be involved in developing and managing a Learning Management System (LMS) for the organization.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a positive learning culture within the company.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Human Resources Development, Adult Education, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Learning and Development, preferably within the food manufacturing industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting needs assessments, designing and developing training programs, and delivering effective training sessions.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to create engaging and interactive training materials.
  • Demonstrated experience with learning management systems (LMS) is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control procedures in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to measure the impact of training programs.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of specific food manufacturing processes and equipment (a plus).
  • Experience with developing and delivering compliance training programs.
