Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Lead Estimator. The Lead Estimator will manage a team of estimators and oversee the preparation of accurate and detailed cost estimates for industrial facilities, utilities, and infrastructure projects. The Lead Estimator will work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to develop and refine project scopes and develop accurate and competitive project pricing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's and college degree in Power Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 to 15 years of Oil & Gas Construction Experience is a must.
- Gulf Experience is preferred.
- Must be very strong and quick on Excel, Timberline, On Screen Take Off, and similar estimating tools typical to the industry
- Must relate these skills directly to estimates, constructability, and field efficiencies to result in low and competitive bids.
- Must have solid overarching competence in scope definition, quotation analysis, bid leveling, and unit pricing for all CSI specifications, emphasizing general construction conditions and overall bid assembly and submittal.
- You'll need to experience commercial estimating practices and bid day activities.
- Must possess vital organizational, negotiation, interpersonal, and leadership skills; can work hands-on and independently and be part of a team.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
- Ability to manage and motivate a team of estimators
- Expertise in construction methods and materials
- Experience with estimating software and tools
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Professional certification (e.g., Certified Estimating Professional, Certified Cost Professional) is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of local market conditions and suppliers is a plus.
