Description:
As an Interior Designer at thinktank, you will be at the forefront of crafting environments that blend functionality with aesthetic appeal. You will work closely with cross-disciplinary members to develop innovative design solutions for a variety of projects, ranging from corporate offices to community spaces. Your designs will aim to elevate the human experience by focusing on user needs, comfort, and sustainability. You’ll be encouraged to think outside the box while staying grounded in principles of thoughtful design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and contribute to interior design projects from concept through completion, ensuring alignment with our human-centered approach.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, and other design professionals to create spaces that are both visually appealing and functional.
- Conduct site analysis, research, and user needs assessments to inform design decisions.
- Create mood boards, sketches, and digital renderings to communicate design concepts effectively.
- Select materials, finishes, furnishings, and color schemes that enhance the user experience.
- Ensure that designs comply with relevant codes and regulations while remaining sustainable and eco-conscious.
- Oversee project timelines, budgets, and vendor relationships to deliver high-quality results on time and within scope.
- Stay up to date on industry trends, innovative materials, and new technologies in interior design.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
- Strong proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, or other relevant tools.
- Experience with space planning, furniture design, lighting design, and material selection.
- A deep understanding of human-centered design principles and how they apply to interior environments.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- A passion for sustainable design practices and creating spaces that promote well-being.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
