Description:

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.

2. Minimum of 10 years of experience in instrumentation engineering, with a focus on project execution and management.

3. Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, PLC programming software, and SCADA/HMI software.

4. Strong knowledge of instrumentation principles, techniques, and technologies, including sensors, transmitters, control valves, and process analyzers.

5. Experience with project management methodologies, tools, and techniques, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

6. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.

7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.

8. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks effectively.

9. Willingness to travel to project sites and client locations as needed.

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with project managers, process engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives related to instrumentation and control systems.

- Design and develop detailed engineering plans, specifications, and diagrams for instrumentation and control systems, ensuring compliance with project goals, standards, and regulations.

- Specify, select, and procure instrumentation devices, sensors, transmitters, control valves, and other equipment necessary for project implementation.

- Conduct feasibility studies, cost estimates, and risk assessments for instrumentation projects, and provide recommendations to project stakeholders.

- Configure, program, and test programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems to meet project requirements.

- Develop control strategies, logic diagrams, and process flow diagrams for instrumentation and control systems, optimizing performance, efficiency, and safety.

- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery, installation, and commissioning of instrumentation equipment and systems.

- Conduct factory acceptance testing (FAT) and site acceptance testing (SAT) of instrumentation systems, and oversee startup and commissioning activities.

- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance during system startup, operation, and maintenance phases of the project.

- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, regulations, and best practices in instrumentation engineering and project management.

- Document project activities, including design specifications, test plans, commissioning reports, and project documentation, and maintain accurate records.

- Monitor project progress, budget, and schedule, and identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact project delivery.

- Communicate regularly with project team members, stakeholders, and clients to provide updates on project status, progress, and milestones.
