DESCRIPTION:
To ensure the safe design, operation, and maintenance of the industrial plants and equipment operated by ENOWA through the application of engineering principles and expertise in process safety. The role plays a vital part in minimizing risks associated with hazardous materials, equipment failures, and process deviations.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Strategy Development and Planning
- Develop and implement comprehensive process safety management systems.
- Conduct process hazard analyses, risk assessments, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Assets Development
- Collaborate with ENOWA Hydrogen project teams to ensure process systems are designed in accordance with safety principles.
- Represent ENOWA in risk assessments, develop and implement risk management strategies.
Assets Operation
- Stay abreast of process safety regulations and ensure compliance.
- Monitor and analyze process safety performance metrics, driving continuous improvement.
HSE
- Lead or participate in incident investigations, near misses, and accidents.
- Conduct audits and inspections of process facilities, equipment, and operating procedures.
Background, Skills, and Qualifications:
- Strong communication and analytical skills.
- Expertise in process safety management principles, methodologies, and regulations.
- Experience in developing and implementing process safety management systems.
- Familiarity with industry design codes and standards.
- Proficiency in conducting qualitative and quantitative risk assessments.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in process plant design or operation, preferably in Industrial Gas or Oil & Gas.
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or equivalent.
