Leadership and Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of instructors, fostering a positive and collaborative environment.
- Develop and implement training programs to ensure consistent teaching quality across all classes.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to support professional growth.
Client Experience
- Ensure an exceptional client experience by maintaining high teaching standards and addressing client feedback effectively.
- Conduct private sessions and group classes, showcasing expertise and setting the benchmark for the team.
- Act as a resource for clients, offering guidance on class selection, personalized goals, and progress tracking.
Operations and Strategy
- Collaborate with studio management to design and refine class schedules, ensuring a diverse and balanced offering.
- Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and training new instructors.
- Monitor studio equipment and ensure it is well-maintained and safe for use.
- Stay updated on Pilates trends and best practices, integrating new techniques and methodologies into the studio’s offerings.
Community Engagement
- Represent the studio in local events and workshops, building connections within the fitness and wellness community.
- Lead occasional workshops and special events to enhance client engagement and retention.
Requirements:
- Recognized certification in Reformer, Megaformer, Tower, or Chair (e.g., Polestar, BASI, Balanced Body, Stott Pilates, Lagree).
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience as an instructor OR 1000 teaching hours.
- Ability to develop class concepts and lead safe and effective Pilates workouts for all levels.
- Experience working with clients with injuries, chronic injuries, and pre- and post-natal.
- Experience in managing a team.
- Strong understanding of Pilates principles, anatomy, and injury prevention.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Proven ability to manage and mentor a team of instructors.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional certifications in fitness or wellness disciplines (e.g., physiotherapy).
- Experience with studio management software (e.g., Mindbody).
- Strong business acumen and familiarity with studio operations.
