Ground Operations Officer

Description:

The Ground Operations Officer is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of ground handling services at the airport or ground facilities. This role requires a strong understanding of aviation operations, safety regulations, and exceptional organizational skills to ensure efficient and effective service delivery. The Ground Operations Officer works closely with various teams, including flight crews, airport staff, and service providers, to ensure seamless ground operations.

Responsibilities

- Supervise daily ground operations to ensure all procedures are followed according to safety regulations and company policies.
- Coordinate aircraft arrival and departure activities, including boarding, baggage handling, and aircraft servicing.
- Liaise with airlines, ground handlers, and relevant authorities to ensure smooth operational flow.
- Address and resolve any operational issues or emergencies that arise during ground handling.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to ground operations, incidents, and performance metrics.
- Ensure that all services are delivered in a timely and customer-friendly manner.
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in ground operations or airport management.
- Comprehensive knowledge of ground handling procedures, safety regulations, and operational standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with various stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with aviation management software.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond swiftly to operational changes.
