Finance Manager

 

Description:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Planning & Analysis:

  • Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts for all coffee shop locations.
  • Conduct monthly variance analysis and provide insights to management.
  • Track financial performance and highlight areas for improvement.

2. Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with internal reporting standards and external regulations.
  • Present financial results to senior management with actionable recommendations.

3. Cost Control & Profitability:

  • Analyze food and beverage costs, labor costs, and operational expenses.
  • Implement cost control measures across stores to maximize profitability.
  • Work closely with procurement and operations to optimize inventory and supplier costs.

4. Cash Flow & Treasury Management:

  • Monitor daily cash flow, manage working capital, and ensure sufficient liquidity.
  • Oversee banking relationships and manage loan or credit facilities, if applicable.

5. Internal Controls & Compliance:

  • Ensure proper financial controls are in place across all stores.
  • Lead internal audits and support external audits when required.
  • Ensure compliance with VAT, tax filings, and other local financial regulations.

6. Team Management:

  • Supervise finance/accounting staff and ensure proper task delegation and performance monitoring.
  • Provide coaching and development opportunities to grow the finance team.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master’s or CMA/ CA/ CPA/ACCA is a plus).
  • 5+ years of financial management experience, preferably in the F&B or retail industry.
  • Strong understanding of financial systems, reporting tools, and ERP software.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of cost accounting and store-level profitability is a strong advantage.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and financial modeling.
