Description:
Our client is a leading manufacturer and provider of engineering solutions, catering to various sectors including oil and gas, petrochemicals, power, water, and infrastructure. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for overseeing the design and detailing of pressure vessels, tanks, and structural steel. This role includes managing engineering activities to ensure high productivity and quality, supporting product development, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and execute the design of pressure vessels, tanks, and heat exchangers.
- Oversee the detailing of structural steel requirements and related projects.
- Delegate design tasks to engineers and detailing tasks to detailers.
- Monitor and control the progress and quality of design and detailing work.
- Liaise and coordinate with customers on design and detailing matters.
- Ensure timely delivery of engineering outputs, such as piece mark tracking reports and CNC files.
- Support sales and estimation teams with bids and quotes.
- Ensure optimization of engineering software capabilities.
- Facilitate the generation of additional customer requirements like As-Built and Erection drawings.
- Maintain safety, discipline, and timely attendance within the Engineering Department.
- Ensure adherence to ISO, ASME, National Board, and customer standards.
- Work towards achieving ISO Quality Objectives.
- Prepare and submit various periodic reports.
- Execute, review, and record performance management activities.
- Identify training needs and plan and deliver training sessions.
- Provide engineering support for new product development initiatives.
