Key Responsibilities
 

  • Attend to breakdowns and repairs.
  • Ability to solve complex problems, think outside the box and a drive for solution.
  • Knowledge sharing and assisting in upskilling operators to minimise breakdowns.
  • As part of the engineering team install and commission new equipment with a focus on ensuring the equipment consistently performs to the required function.
  • Ensure all machine settings are operationally correct and are set in accordance with supporting documentation.
  • Carry out preventative, planned corrective and reactive maintenance.
  • Condition based maintenance and reliability-based maintenance inspections.
  • Carry out repairs on faulty equipment and improve the reliability of the equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults on equipment.
     

Preferred Qualifications/ Competencies
 

  • Unrestricted SA Electrical license
  • Industrial Experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Available for overtime and call outs
  • Familiarity with DCS/PLC systems, preferably Rockwell Automation products
  • Drivers licence
  • Indentured dual trade in Electrical and Instrumentation
  • Flow, Level, Temperatire, Pressure and consistency measurement and calibration
  • Variable speed drives
  • Gas burner management systems
  • Communication protocol’s Ethernet, Controlnet, Foundation Fieldbus, DeviceNet

  • Currently hold a nationally accredited Working at Heights ticket.
  • Currently hold a nationally accredited Confined Space Entry ticket.
