Digitization Specialist

Description:

Key Responsibilities:

• Format and optimize EPUB files for digital publishing, ensuring readability and consistency across multiple devices.

• Troubleshoot and resolve structural and formatting inconsistencies within EPUB files.

• Apply HTML/CSS to create clean and professional layouts, with the opportunity to implement advanced design techniques as needed.

• Collaborate with the digitization team to meet quality and project deadlines.

• Ensure compliance with global publishing standards and digital book design best practices.

• Maintain meticulous attention to detail to ensure all books are formatted to the highest standards.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Familiarity with digital book interior design principles. A working knowledge of book structure (e.g., chapters, sections, footnotes, headings, etc.) is required.

• High attention to detail and the ability to solve issues impacting readability and consistency.

• Basic Knowledge of HTML and CSS.

• Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and project manager.

• Continuous learning mindset and adaptability to new digital publishing tools and trends.

Prefered:

• Experience in EPUB Creation and Formatting, using tools such as Adobe InDesign, Calibre, or Sigil.

• Experience in HTML and CSS for complex Layouts.

• Understanding of typography and book design standards for digital publishing.

• Ability to work independently as well as in a team to deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.

• Experience in eBook formatting tools.
