Responsibilities:
- working with database software to find ways to store, organize and manage data
- Troubleshooting
- keeping databases up to date
- helping with database design and development
- managing database access
- designing maintenance procedures and putting them into operation
- ensuring that databases meet user requirements.
- liaising with programmers, applications/operational staff, IT project managers and other technical staff
- managing database security/integrity and backup procedures
- implementing security measures
Qualifications and Experience:
- Advanced certification as a Microsoft Certified DBA and Oracle Database SQL Certified Associate
- Expert in Oracle, SQL and Mongo DB management and replication
- Proficiency in data manipulation languages, including MS SQL, Oracle Database & Data guard
- Proactively monitoring DB performance and capacity planning
- Manage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades, patches and hot fixes on DB’s
- Proactively maintain all DB infrastructure technologies to maintain high service uptime
- Perform change management, problem management and incident correlation on re-occurring issue
