Role Description

  • The Data Management/Governance Consultant is responsible for developing and implementing data management strategies, policies, and procedures for clients. This role involves working closely with clients to assess their data governance maturity levels, identify areas for improvement, and build data management and governance frameworks to optimize their data operations and realize their data value. The role will also involve conducting data risk assessments, designing data models, and providing guidance on data quality and compliance. Define roles and responsibilities, operating model for related data governance and management activities, to achieve operational efficiency and ensure clear accountability, supporting deployment and utilization of technology and data governance tools to improve data maturity and compliance e.g. business data glossary, data catalog, master data management and data lineage. Developing a strong working relationship with the appropriate business users and provide business-impact-driven analysis and communicate results to stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in data management or governance roles, preferably in the consulting industry
  • Bachler’s degree in IT, engineering, or business administration.
  • Previous experience in implementing the National Data Management Office - NDMO specifications is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
  • Technical experience and knowledge in Data Management practices & Frameworks.
  • Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment.
  • Subject matter expertise in data governance framework and data stewardship roles and responsibilities in large complex organizations.
  • Experience with Data Quality tools to profile, cleanse, standardize and enrich data.
  • Consulting skills, and change management experience including communication, cultural change, and performance measurement.
  • Knowledge of enterprise risk management framework, methodology, and processes.
  • Experience in designing, writing, and implanting data management policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent knowledge of data governance, management, quality, privacy, and security frameworks, principles, and best practices
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English
  • DAMA, DCAM Certifications.
  • Informatica and/or Collibra certificates.
  • Fluent in Arabic and English languages is must
