Cyber Security Architect

Responsibilities

• Help to lead the overall cybersecurity group as a senior member of the team who can provide technical and strategic guidance and mentorship.
• Share architecture guidance for all cybersecurity departments including incident management, vulnerability management, access management, and governance risk and compliance.
• Provide input and support in third party security risk assessments by taking into consideration the overall technology architecture of the bank and how the third party may interface or connect with our environment. Core Responsibilities
• Review areas such as network architecture, system architecture, cloud architecture, and data architecture and make recommendations on ways to improve the functional security.
• Coordinate with the GRC team to understand the regulatory requirements related to cybersecurity architecture and help ensure these are addressed.
• Assess new technology and business products and vendors as part of the relevant squad leadership and provide guidance on requirements to design and implement the solutions in a way which reduces the likelihood or impact of a cybersecurity incident.
• Lead the project management, selection and coordinate the implementation of key cybersecurity technologies. People Management Responsibilities  Provide overall guidance to the cyber security teams

EXPERIENCE (Highlight)

- 7 - 10 years or more in cybersecurity as part of an operational team, in implementation, or through consulting

Essential Skills:

-Strong technical skills in networking and system management

-Experience in implementing and leading technical projects and coordinating vendors

-Broad knowledge across multiple cybersecurity disciplines including Access Management, Vulnerability Management, Incident Response, and Governance Risk and Compliance

-Drive to take proactive initiative in identifying and solving problems without being asked

-Verbal and written skills in coordinating with other departments and vendors in defining requirements and creating high level design documents or network architecture diagrams.

- Understanding technical concepts and communicating them in nontechnical terms to cross functional audiences.

-Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and process for identifying compliance requirements and translating those to technical requirements.

-Team building and mentorship skills in helping the team work well together and achieve goals and objectives.
