Key Responsibilities:
- Budget Management: Create, maintain, update, and monitor project budgets in coordination with project teams, procurement, and the finance manager. Ensure that cost data remains relevant and accurate.
- Variance Analysis: Perform delta analysis and generate reports to communicate variances, ensuring costs stay within approved limits. Propose corrective actions where necessary.
- Cost Structures: Develop, issue, and maintain project work breakdown and cost breakdown structures. Evaluate financial impacts of changes, variations in scope, and variation orders.
- Cash Flow Management: Maintain project cash flows, monitor actual vs. forecasted cash flows, and update progress against the contractual milestone payment plan.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct periodic risk assessments and ensure costs are controlled within approved limits, reporting deviations and proposing corrective actions.
- Supplier and Sub-Contractor Verification: Support the project operations team by verifying material receipts, supplier, and sub-contractor work in the ERP system, ensuring all costs are accurate.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for projects, providing insights and analysis to support decision-making.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams for budgeting and forecasting, and communicate complex cost information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Project Close: Prepare project cost attribution for monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing. Record any accruals or expenses in coordination with the accounting team.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in project cost control management, preferably within the landscaping or construction industry (with at least 2-3 years in KSA).
- Certified Cost Technician (CCT) / Certified Cost Professional (CCP) or equivalent qualifications are an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a solid understanding of financial reporting principles.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with cost management software is a plus.
