Contracting Manager

Description:

The Contracting Manager (CM) shall lead all contracting efforts and be responsible for managing the spending on services. CM shall obtain quality products at competitive prices in a timely fashion to ensure maximum value and profitable operations. CM has the responsibility for ensuring the code of ethics following policy, procedures, and applicable local regulations. CM shall demonstrate strong leadership and managerial competencies, including integrity, accountability, communication skills, and commitment to teamwork and excellence in responsibilities such as selecting, mentoring, coaching, supervising, motivating, and training Contracting staff.

Experience:

• At least 12 years of relevant experience in a contract management role.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, or Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain high performance and cost-efficient resource allocation.
• Set objectives, supervise staff, and provide technical/administrative guidance.
• Evaluate, coach, train, and counsel contracting staff.
• Recommend policies and procedures to reduce expenses and ensure compliance.
• Monitor business trends to secure the best prices without compromising quality.
• Evaluate, negotiate, and execute various contracts.
• Supervise procurement and evaluate proposals to select the best supplier.
• Maintain contract-related correspondence and documentation.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Broad knowledge of supply chain
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently
• Ability to listen, communicate (written and verbal), and follow-up effectively with all staffing levels and clients/customers
• Ability to work independently, be a self-starter, and energetically approach tasks assigned
• Ability to demonstrate excellent common sense and sound judgment
• Ability to perform at high levels in a changing work environment.
