Description:
Reporting to the Manager of Engineering, the Asset Management Manager is responsible to lead a team of Project Engineers and Specialists; develop, update, maintain, monitor and coordinate the asset management and rehabilitation program of municipality wide assets.
Major Responsibilities
- Ability to lead the strategic management of assets owned and operated by the municipality, ensuring their efficient utilization, maintenance, and optimization.
- Oversee the development and implementation of asset management strategies to enhance service delivery and support the municipality’s long-term objectives.
- Primary focus on the requirements within Jubail Industrial City (JIC) while coordinating, aligning, engaging, collaborating, and supporting its SABCO counterparts in Ras Al Khair Industrial City (RIC).
- Manages Consultants and Contractors in their activities and provides operational support as well as guidance on Task issues.
- Ensure that the team deliver tasks on time and budget.
- Participates in weekly staff meeting and monthly area review meetings to report on project performance and resolution of issues.
- Requests and manages off-project support when deemed necessary.
Education And Experience Requirements
- University degree in Engineering, ideally complemented by a Masters’ degree in a related field, is highly desirable. Prior experience and qualifications in Project Management, Engineering, Construction, and Asset Management and Rehabilitation for Municipality assets is preferred.
- A minimum of 20-years relevant experience, with at least 5 years specifically in asset management, preferably with a focus on municipal assets.
- Proficiency in asset management principles, methodologies, and tools, including utilization of asset management software such as IBM Maximo, City Works, and familiarity with GIS applications.
