The Accountant specializing in Aviation will be responsible for managing financial transactions, reporting, and compliance focused on the aviation sector. This role requires expertise in accounting principles as they relate to aviation operations, including meticulous attention to the complexities of aviation finance, taxation, and regulatory requirements. The position requires collaboration with various teams within the organization to ensure accurate financial reporting and analysis.

Responsibilities

- Maintain accurate financial records for all aviation-related transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with relevant aviation regulations, accounting standards, and company policies.
- Conduct financial analysis to assist in strategic planning and decision-making.
- Oversee the budgeting process for aviation operations and monitor performance against budget.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments and collections.
- Liaise with external auditors during the audit process to ensure compliance and transparency.
- Assist in the preparation of aviation taxes and ensure timely filing.
- Stay up-to-date with financial regulations affecting the aviation industry.
- Provide financial insights and support to management and other departments as needed.
- Expertise in bills payable / receivable

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Professional accounting certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and practices, particularly in the aviation sector.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; knowledge of aviation-specific software is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
