Account Officer

Description:

• Experience in Finance and Accounting role in Mutual funds or asset management companies preferred

• Looking at candidate who have are are qualified under

• Capital Market Authority (CMA) and
• International Introduction to Securities and Investment (CME-1A) and
• General Saudi Capital Market Rules and Regulations (CME-1B) - would be preferred

Key Responsibilities

•Produces monthly, quarterly management reports and annual financial statements/ reports in accordance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements

• Takes responsibility for the most complex areas of the external audit, including agreeing treatment for new accounting standards, new instrument types, and liasoning between internal clients (fund managers, compliance & risk, performance, sales & marketing) on these. Owns the resolution of complex audit investigations requiring interaction with other operational groups. Support the Leader on these strategic or critical audit issues.

• Provides input to routine and exceptional decisions regarding processes/systems issues, utilizing depth of knowledge/technical expertise to provide guidance and direction to teams.

• Works with team, under direction of leadership, to identify opportunities for and potential barriers to process and/or product improvement within area of accountability, and may make recommendations accordingly.

• Understands and implements the use of key controls, including the enforcement of departmental policies/procedures.

• Responsible for liasoning with the regulators and ensures that all requirements from finance perspective from the regulator are complied to

• Reviewing and continuous monitoring of capital adequacy required under regulations, preparations of IRAP (risk adequacy document)

• Projects and change management: takes lead on strategic and/or complex change initiatives, represents department at enterprise wide project forums. These could include new product launches, regulatory initiatives, and inter-departmental projects.

• Preparation and review of quarterly/annual board presentations containing financial information, participating in the board meetings
