Description:
• Conducting research and analyzing previous games to develop game plans, tactics, techniques, formations, and strategies.
• Organizing and scheduling tryouts and shortlisting potential players.
• Determining individual player abilities, strengths, and weaknesses, and factoring these into the gameplay and strategy sessions.
• Organize preseason and regular season training.
• Ensuring the football field is available for practice sessions and that players show up on time.
• Establishing rules and regulations and ensuring players are familiar with them.
• Organizing team building sessions and activities off the field.
• Fostering good sportsmanship in all team players, resolving disputes, and addressing bad behavior in a timely manner.
• Identifying exceptional players who might be scouted for scholarships and to play in professional leagues.
• Ensuring all sports equipment is available and in working order.
• Encouraging players to engage in other recreational sports and to live a healthy life with a balanced diet.
• Helping to create a supportive, professional team environment in which all players are able to reach their potential.
• Prepare and lead all team training sessions.
• Use session planning tools and video platforms to ensure that all relevant player data is recorded.
• Deliver Individual Development Plans (IDP) and training for Formation Phase Teams.
• Oversee all player evaluations and player/parent meetings.
• Assist and support coaches in the general control, management, and conduct of Academy players, ensuring adherence to the Academy Code of Conduct.
• Assist with other age groups with training and game day when needed.
• Collaborate with Academy Director and Technical Staff on player and roster movement from Formation Phase to Professional Phase.
• Assists in the scouting and evaluation of potential players for the team.
• Collaborative management style – an advocate of team concepts.
• Positive influencer, comfortable with leading dynamic change.
• Seek to improve and maintain high standards in everything we do on the field and in the dressing room.
• Attend Club functions and meetings as needed.
• Organize friendly preseason games and as needed.
• Report any concerns to the Technical Director related to (players, parents, staff members)
• Know how to deal with the questions that contemporary young people and their educators pose to trainers.
• Work in a challenging sports environment.
• Keep up to date with the latest trends, techniques and news in football training and incorporate them into training programs.
• Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for players of all levels.
• To demonstrate experience in working with and without translators in delivery of sessions.
• To adapt in different coaching environments when delivering.
• Confirms attendance from every training session and matches.
• Attend meetings with the technical director and staff to keep up to date on player progression.
• Foster a positive and supportive team environment that promotes teamwork, sportsmanship and personal growth.
• To understand player pathways and the development process of players.
• Be responsible for the discipline of players and coaches. We expect a good schedule and have a dress code.
• Ensure that all players receive regular and honest feedback on their development throughout season, while managing levels of expectations.
• Ensuring effective interaction and keeping good relationships with players and team members.
• Assists in planning and executing tournaments, leagues, and camps.
• Implement the Academy methodology, effective practice, and game plans through the Academy Curriculum, style of play, and periodization.
